Each outboard is tested for the condition of compression, spark plugs, gear case and oils, propellor and hardware, battery leads, electrical connectors, kill circuit operation, external anodes, fuel connectors, lines and filters, recoil starter, starter motor, transom mounting, trim and tilt, shallow water drive, gear shift and throttle operation, tell tale and warning horn operations. Yamaha outboards that have computer diagnostic capability also have information down loads.

Each outboard is sold with a limited warranty.
