When it comes to exhilarating performance, no other engine matches the speed, weight and smarts of Yamaha’s VMAX SHO (Super High Output) four-stroke engines. The VMAX SHO high performance range was recently expanded to include the VF115, allowing smaller horsepower rated boats to take advantage of this high performance platform. This in-line four cylinder, 1.8 litre outboard is tuned to deliver additional top-end performance for high performance sports such as bass fishing, skiing and racing. The VF115 has achieved significant weight reductions, by utilising a lightweight composite lower pan and cowling, a single-ram power trim and tilt mechanism, and a lightweight mounting bracket, delivering an exceptional power-to-weight performance. This compact, lightweight and capable engine delivers a performance typically associated with a two stroke, but with the convenience, reliability and whisper quietness of a four-stroke.

    • Yamaha's optional Customer Outboard Protection (Y-COP) engine immobiliser system is easy to use and highly effective in stopping unauthorised start-ups when your boat is unattended. Simply push the button on the neat and simple remote to lock and unlock the engine.  
    • Using Local Area Network (LAN) technology, these digital round gauges provide accurate and real-time tachometer, speed and fuel management stats, including fuel flow/consumption/economy (up to two tanks), trim level, battery voltage, push button trolling speed adjustments and more. 
    • This high definition, colour display uses Local Area Network (LAN) technology to deliver accurate and real-time stats for single and twin engine setups. The customisable day/night gauge delivers information on fuel flow/ economy/ consumption, trim level, battery charge, speed, push button trolling and more.  
    • With its stylish chrome finish and ergonomic design, this mechanical control not only looks good, but provides effortless one-hand operation. The trim and tilt switch is comfortably located on the handle and features easily accessible neutral warm-up controls and externally adjustable throttle friction.
    • This highly-polished, stylish looking, top mounted control allows for effortless one-handed control. The ergonomic design features a thumb operated trim and tilt switch built into the handle, as well as shift and throttle control functions, for convenient and comfortable operation. 
    • Many of Yamaha's mid-range and high horsepower props come with Yamaha’s exclusive Shift Dampener System (SDS). This system absorbs forces created when an engine shifts in and out of gear, resulting in a quieter, smoother and ‘clunk free’ shifting.

    • These props deliver Yamaha's high-quality design and performance in a low-cost, lightweight propeller. They offer a good all-round choice for Yamaha outboards, coming in a wide range of sizes and pitches to suit every power requirement.
    • The newly released aluminium GP introduces a renewed blade geometry and Yamaha’s Shift Dampener System (SDS) for ‘clunk free’ shifting to the K series of props. Suited to lighter hulls, this exceptional prop delivers improved acceleration, speed, fuel economy and anti-ventilation.  
    • These polished stainless steel props deliver exceptional anti-ventilation properties, allowing for increased engine trim range, improved bow lift, greater fuel efficiency and better handling. They also come with Yamaha’s exclusive Shift Dampener System (SDS) for smoother and quieter shifting.
    • The cylinder bore size has been increased from 79mm to 81mm which provides more engine torque. A larger valve was adopted for increased transfer efficiency for both intake and exhaust.
    • The compact and light-weight single ram power, trim and tilt (PTT) unit and bracket have been developed exclusively for this engine to further reduce overall engine weight for increased acceleration and speed.    
    • The direct ignition system with a plug cap and an ignition coil provides higher reliability and increased performance.    
    • The electronic throttle valve makes precise throttle movements according to engine temperature and atmospheric conditions, to deliver incredible response, awesome power and exceptional fuel economy.
    • Yamaha’s variable trolling control allows the skipper to precisely adjust the engine’s idling speed from 600 to 1000 RPM in 50 RPM increments. The ability to finely tune the trolling speed allows fisherman to perfect their lure presentation when chasing different species of fish.
    • The 16 valve, 1.8 Litre, dual overhead camshaft design delivers superior efficiency in the transfer of intake and exhaust gasses throughout the RPM range. The VF115 incorporates larger intake and exhaust valves which enhance response, efficiency and mid-range torque.
    • Yamaha’s most affordable Tachometer and Speedometer gauges offer RPM, Trim Angle, Oil Pressure, Overheat Warning, Trip Hours, Total Operating Hours, Speed, Trip Distance, Time, Fuel Level, Low-Fuel Warning and Battery Voltage/Warning.
    • The crankshaft design is offset 5mm from the centre of cylinder for more efficient transfer of power to the crankshaft.    
    • The Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, injects the right amount of fuel into the combustion chamber at the optimum timing, for ‘first-time, every-time’ hot and cold starting, improved fuel efficiency, excellent throttle response.
