Quiet Efficient Power

For big engine performance, delivered in a small engine package, you can’t go past Yamaha’s F15 outboard. This two-cylinder, 362cc, four-stroke outboard is extremely fuel efficient, while producing a powerful and smooth-riding all-round performance. This engine includes Yamaha’s PrimeStartTM, which delivers quick and efficient starting in all climatic conditions. While the manual start models include an Auto Decompression feature which makes pull starting easier. • Features

    • The four-valve, two-cylinder, single overhead camshaft delivers sufficient torque from low to mid speed ranges, for a quick response and smooth operation.
    • For easy pull starting, these engines feature an auto decompression device fitted to the camshaft. This system releases pressure in the cylinder when the manual pull-start is engaged, allowing for light and convenient pull starting.
    • Large comfortable grips located on the front and back of the engine make carrying, mounting and removing the engine easier. The tiller handle folds neatly back to make the engine even more compact for carrying and storage.
    • Simply connect a hose to the easy access connector to flush salt and dirt from the outboard, without having to run the engine. Flushing the engine after each usage reduces corrosion and extends the engines life.
    • A 12 Volt 10 Amp high-output alternator ensures that power is always available to start the engine, even after long periods of idling or running at low revs. This provides extra starting power and delivers sufficient power to run a wide array of on-board electronic devices.
    • Yamaha’s proven labyrinth exhaust system reduces engine noise at low RPM and idle. A water sealed outer wall around the exhaust muffler effectively reduces exhaust tone, for whisper quiet operation and enhances cooling, which protects the exhaust system against corrosion.
    • This engine features a three-step shallow water drive system, which is extremely useful for tackling Australia’s shallow rivers, estuaries, creeks and when coming to shore.
    • The F20 has the choice between tiller or forward mechanical control options.
    • Yamaha's Prime StartTM makes starting as easy as starting a car. It allows the engine to be started cold by automatically controlling the engine ‘warming up’ process - eliminating the need for a conventional choke and the need to ‘warm up’ your engine by revving it in neutral.
    • Yamaha engines are known for their durability and high re-sale value. Part of this lies in the anti-corrosion protection. A unique YDC-30 aluminium alloy and 5-stage exterior paint coating process protects the engine's exterior parts, while high-quality, marine-grade stainless steel componentry is used through-out.
    • Engine operation is made easy with the sturdy tiller handle which includes a large front shift, bigger throttle grip, a stop switch and for power trim models, a convenient PT switch.
    • One of Yamaha's best selling controls, this mechanical remote offers comfort, simplicity and flexibility. With its new ergonomic grip, reversible right-hand or left-hand installation, and convenient trim and tilt operation, this control offers all-round functionality and value.
    • With its stylish chrome finish and ergonomic design, this mechanical control not only looks good, but provides effortless one-hand operation. The trim and tilt switch is comfortably located on the handle and features easily accessible neutral warm-up controls and externally adjustable throttle friction.
    • This highly-polished, stylish looking, top mounted control allows for effortless one-handed control. The ergonomic design features a thumb operated trim and tilt switch built into the handle, as well as shift and throttle control functions, for convenient and comfortable operation.
    • Prop choice makes a huge difference to outboard acceleration, top-end speed, handling and fuel efficiency. That is why Yamaha continues to push the technological boundaries in the design and development of our leading range of high performance props - ensuring every Yamaha outboard performs at its peak.
    • These props deliver Yamaha's high-quality design and performance in a low-cost, lightweight propeller. They offer a good all-round choice for Yamaha outboards, coming in a wide range of sizes and pitches to suit every power requirement.
